Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ace Rob (ranked 2540 p4p, 2809 weight class) and Mini Stipe (ranked 133 p4p, 144 weight class). Stipe has chosen Godsmack - I Stand Alone as his entrance music. Mini Stipe has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 21 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ace Rob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mini Stipe!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.

We've been hearing reports that Rob has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Stipe working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Rob got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stipe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rob has managed to get both his arms back between Stipe's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round but I would say that Ace Rob will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Rob misses the shot to the body.
Stipe fails to land with a series of punches.
Stipe motions for Rob to come forward. Stipe throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Rob throws a hook but Stipe avoids it easily.
Stipe dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Rob. That did some damage!

Stipe manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Mini Stipe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Rob throws out a powerful jab.

Rob tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
No joy there for Stipe, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rob lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Rob takes a swing at Stipe's ribcage but misses.
Rob uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Stipe.
An attempted straight right counter from Rob misses the target.
Stipe throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rob.
It looked like Rob wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Rob throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Stipe because Rob loaded up on that one.
Rob lands a big shot there that rocks Stipe but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Mini Stipe has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ace Rob is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Stipe tries to hold on but Rob pushes him away.
Stipe bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Stipe sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rob's guard.
Rob has hold of Stipe's hands but Stipe slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Rob moves into full guard.

Rob had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Stipe defends it easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Stipe postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Mini Stipe.
I think Rob has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
