Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joao Cajo Branca (ranked 688 p4p, 937 weight class) and Mush Mouth (ranked 80 p4p, 109 weight class). Branca comes to the cage accompanied by original score medley. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

Mouth steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Branca.
Mouth shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Branca as he jumps to the side.
And Branca counters with a quick kick to the body but Mouth blocks it.
Mouth has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Branca is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Mush Mouth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mouth throws out a powerful jab.

It looks like Joao Cajo Branca has been cut.
Mouth on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Mouth swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Branca quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Mouth defending well as Branca loads up on a big left hand.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A nice leg kick lands there from Branca.
Mouth throws a series of punches but Branca avoids them all with ease.

Branca is looking to counter the offense by Mouth and move into the clinch.

Branca slaps away a takedown attempt from Mouth, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Branca fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mouth.
Branca lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Mouth crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Branca - the referee stops the clock and Mouth gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Branca. Mouth manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Branca has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Chakuriki LA Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Mouth fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mouth takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Branca bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Mouth shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Branca makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Joao Cajo Branca has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mush Mouth.

Branca bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Branca throws a body shot but no joy.
Mouth throws a combination that misses
and Mouth takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Branca throws a leg kick which misses Mouth's front leg but catches the back leg as Mouth tries to avoid it.
A slapping body kick lands there for Branca.
Joao Cajo Branca is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Branca, as that shot connected.
An inside leg kick lands from Branca.
Branca looks to land a combination. Mouth sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Branca keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Branca lands a big right hand that sends Mouth crashing to the mat! Branca stays standing though and waves Mouth back to his feet!

Mouth is rocked!

It looks like Mush Mouth has been cut.
Mouth misses with an uppercut

and Branca counters with a nice right hand that sends Mouth toppling to the canvas! Mouth scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Branca finish him?!
Mouth is still on wobbly legs! Can Branca finish him?
Branca moves in close and cracks Mouth with a massive right hand! Mouth, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Branca!
