He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Iye Shuman has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atalla throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Luca Atalla seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Atalla keeps the fight on the outside.
Shuman closes the distance and clinches up with Atalla, looking for a takedown. Shuman pushes Atalla against the ropes but Atalla circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
