The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Navajo tries to bum rush whittiker with a series of wild strikes but whittiker uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
whittiker slips a jab and a cross from Navajo.
Navajo throws a chopping leg kick but whittiker manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
whittiker takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like Jordan whittiker has been cut.

Navajo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Navajo drops back looking for a leg! whittiker is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and whittiker manages to kick Navajo off! Navajo jumps back into whittiker's guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Navajo had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. whittiker is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Navajo Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take whittiker's back instead.

Navajo is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. whittiker is defending well though. Navajo let's go of the attempt for now.

That was a close second round but I would say that Anevay Navajo will probably get the nod.
