Morgan comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Hero of The Day kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Matt Morgan has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Rod Souto's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souto is looking to clinch but Morgan is avoiding it.
Souto shoots in for a takedown but Morgan shows good takedown defense.

Souto shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Morgan is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Souto drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Morgan dives on top into guard.
Morgan wants to stand but Souto is controlling his posture from full guard.

Morgan decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Souto, up you get!
Morgan connects with a right hand. Souto shakes it off.

It looks like Rod Souto has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nice combo by Morgan! Oh, that's hurt him - Souto falls to the canvas and Morgan follows him into side control.

Souto is rocked!
Souto is breathing heavily.
Souto tries to bench press Morgan off him but Morgan keeps the position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Morgan decides to stand back up. Morgan steps back and let's Souto get back to his feet.
Morgan cracks Souto with a big right hand and Souto goes down!
Oh Souto is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Morgan wants to get up but he can't break Souto's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Souto seems to have got his legs back now.

Morgan stands up from Souto's guard - Morgan perhaps looking for a knockout.
Morgan scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
A right-left combo lands from Morgan.

Morgan moves into the clinch.

Souto lands a takedown into guard.

Morgan wriggles free and stands up.

Morgan feints and as Souto raises his hands in defense, Morgan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Morgan is sitting in close to Souto's body. Souto has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Morgan is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Morgan is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Souto.
