Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jikai Kobayashi (ranked 4866 p4p, 25607 weight class) and Dechlan Tomsett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jikai Kobayashi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jikai Kobayashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dechlan Tomsett!

Kobayashi throws a poor cross that misses

and Tomsett counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Tomsett.
The referee is keeping an eye on Tomsett - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Tomsett gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Kobayashi regains guard.
Kobayashi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tomsett manages to get himself to full guard.

Tomsett bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kobayashi's guard.

Kobayashi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Tomsett is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Tomsett seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kobayashi does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Tomsett in particular looking to stall.
Tomsett looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kobayashi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Kobayashi connects with a good right hand that stumbles Tomsett. Tomsett circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Tomsett shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kobayashi's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Tomsett turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Tomsett manages to end up in side control.

Kobayashi regains half guard there - taking advantage of Tomsett's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Tomsett is working for an americana but Kobayashi has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Tomsett was thinking about the submission.

Tomsett decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kobayashi, up you get!

Tomsett dives in and grabs Kobayashi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kobayashi pushes down on Tomsett's head and hops out.

Tomsett is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Kobayashi can't fight it off and eventually Tomsett manages to take the fight to the floor. Kobayashi looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Kobayashi throws a hook to the side of Tomsett's head but Tomsett sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

As Kobayashi backs off Tomsett throws a huge counter combo but Kobayashi manages to avoid it all.
Kobayashi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tomsett is fending him off so far but Kobayashi persists. Nope, Tomsett circles away and we're back to standing.
