Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kev Scott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Layla London!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Scott drives through with a takedown into guard.

London escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Scott gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Scott advances to half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Scott connects with a nice short shot to London's temple.
London has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Scott is working away from the top position though.
Scott controlling the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
London trying to hold on to Scott's head to control him but Scott postures up.

Scott is working for a kimura but London is defending it quite comfortably.
London looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Scott takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
London wants to improve his position but Scott is controlling well.

London working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Scott doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Scott manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Scott manages to get an easy takedown there - catching London on his heels. He'll look to pass London's guard now, I'm sure.

Scott on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Scott tries to get out of the position.
Scott wants to control but London is keeping busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Scott is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on London's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Scott is looking for a sweep. London is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

London wants to work for an arm triangle but Scott is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Scott is trying to control but London manages to pass to mount!
Scott is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Scott is squirming around, avoiding London's attempts to control the action.

London has hold of Scott's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Scott manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
London avoids the attempt from Scott to control.

London throwing strikes here but Scott is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

London is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Scott to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Scott shrugs it off.

Layla London has got the better of the ground game so far.

London is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Scott is surviving well by controlling London's body position as best he can.
London wants to control the pace but Scott is squirming around nicely.
Scott tries to hold on but London pushes him away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

London is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Scott has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Layla London showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

London closes the distance and clinches up with Scott, looking for a takedown. London pushes Scott against the cage but Scott circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Scott has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Scott seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down London for as long as he can get away with.

Kev Scott is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
London tries to score a power double leg takedown but Scott sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten London somewhat.
