This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 9 wins and 5 losses; Morrison Lee! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 34 wins and 19 losses; Masa Wasa!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Lee closes the distance and clinches up with Wasa, looking for a takedown. Lee pushes Wasa against the cage but Wasa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Lee shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Lee was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Lee is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Wasa knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Lee tries to move into full mount but can't pass Wasa's legs.
Lee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wasa keeps working.

Wasa felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Wasa isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lee stacks Wasa on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lee!

Lee has his foot on Wasa's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wasa works his way back into a safe position though.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Wasa tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lee wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Lee takes the fight on points by 28 to 5.
