Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Masa Sanada (ranked 270 p4p, 187 weight class) and Ira Wright (ranked 42 p4p, 33 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Wright swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A quick step to the side and Sanada tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sanada misses with a looping left.

and Sanada counters with a lovely straight right hand!

It looks like Ira Wright has been cut.

and Sanada counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Wright throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

No joy there for Sanada, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Wright throws a low kick but Sanada moves out of range easily.
Some bone on bone action there as Sanada checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wright wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Wright moves forwards but Sanada connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Sanada shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Wright jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wright turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Sanada moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Sanada moves into range and connects with a jab.
Wright throws a body shot but no joy.
Sanada uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wright.
Wright uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Wright takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Wright throws a body punch but Sanada moves out of range.
Wright looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Wright connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Ira Wright seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That has opened up Ira Wright's cut even more.
Wright misses with an uppercut. Sanada saw that one coming.
Sanada has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Wright.
Sanada gets in close and tags Wright with a short punch that almost sends Wright to the mat! Oh Wright is in big trouble! He turns his back on Sanada, trying to create some distance but Sanada rushes him, striking wildly and Wright goes down! The referee tackles Sanada into the cage to end the fight! Sanada is one violent man!
