Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Piotr Boryska (ranked 1930 p4p, 2867 weight class) and Sebastian Rutten (ranked 0 p4p, 373 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

Rutten shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Boryska's guard.

Rutten goes for a double leg but Boryska avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Boryska continues to drive forward.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Boryska escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rutten gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Boryska working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rutten doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rutten manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
