Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Robin Van Doen!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Ben Watson and Darius Henderson.

Pereyra takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Van Doen fails to land with a series of punches.
Danga de danga de dang - Van Doen scores with a four punch combination!
Pereyra avoids the head kick by Van Doen.
Van Doen has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Pereyra is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Van Doen throws a leg kick which misses Pereyra's front leg but catches the back leg as Pereyra tries to avoid it.
Van Doen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Van Doen steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pereyra.
Pereyra motions for Van Doen to come forward. Pereyra throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Van Doen throws a solid leg kick but Pereyra takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Van Doen.
As Van Doen backs away, Pereyra returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Van Doen stuns Pereyra with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Van Doen lands a leg kick that knocks Pereyra off balance momentarily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
No joy there for Pereyra, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Van Doen misses with a series of wild punches.
Pereyra tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Van Doen manages to circle out of the way.
Van Doen doesn't manage to clinch there - Pereyra circles away.
Van Doen tests Pereyra's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Van Doen feints a jab promting Pereyra to slip. Van Doen then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Pereyra slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Van Doen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Pereyra moves into the clinch.

Van Doen on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Van Doen lands a damaging elbow.
Still in the clinch, Van Doen scores with a nice short uppercut.
Van Doen lands a good knee to the midsection. Pereyra won't want to take too many of those.

Pereyra breaks from the clinch.
Van Doen stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Van Doen misses with a few strikes there.
Pereyra shoots in but Van Doen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Van Doen dodges the punch combination from Pereyra.
Pereyra waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Van Doen.
Van Doen throws a counter combo.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Van Doen! Pereyra is out on his feet! Van Doen rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Pereyra is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Pereyra is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Robin Van Doen!
During a confident post fight interview, Robin Van Doen thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
In defeat, Sho Pereyra stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'm frustrated, so I'm getting back in the gym as soon as possible. That's it. '.
