PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leroy Green (ranked 5083 p4p, 5179 weight class) and Gwynn Evans (ranked 553 p4p, 560 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gwynn Evans!

Green rushes Evans and presses him up against the ropes.

Green throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Evans escapes and throws Green's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Green has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Evans in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
