The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from McCants does no damage.
Litter drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Litter is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
McCants looking to hit a scissor sweep but Litter is one step ahead there.
McCants is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Litter drops back looking for a leg! McCants is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McCants manages to kick Litter off! Litter jumps back into McCants's guard.
Litter is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Litter advances position into side control!
You can see the frustration on McCants's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
The fight stays on the outside here - McCants looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
McCants tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Litter is able to avoid easily.
McCants throws a right and a left that Litter avoids nicely.
Litter pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
McCants throws a shot from downtown. Litter moves away and avoids it.
McCants wants to clinch up but Litter keeps it at a distance.
Litter slips a jab and a cross from McCants.

McCants misses with a jab, cross combination.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Litter.
Litter tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Litter has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Litter thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

McCants struggling a bit here.
Litter is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down McCants's shoulder. That is not cool.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McCants is looking to reverse the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Litter tries to move to mount but McCants blocks the move with his legs.
Litter trying to control the action but McCants is working from the bottom.

McCants struggling a bit here.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
McCants falls off balance throwing a combination
and Litter decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in McCants's guard.
McCants looks gassed!
McCants utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Litter drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and McCants dives on top into guard.
McCants really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Litter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
McCants trying to control but Litter is working from the bottom.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Litter controls McCants momentarily but McCants frees himself.
Litter working for a triangle but McCants defends it easily.
Litter looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

McCants wants to control from the top but Litter keeps moving.
McCants might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Litter kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Litter escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McCants gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Litter closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McCants to the mat! McCants manages to get full guard.
Litter thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
McCants wants to sweep but no luck.
Litter wants to control from the top but McCants keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
McCants darts in trying to clinch
and Litter counters with a single leg into guard. McCants didn't expect that.
McCants wants to stand but Litter is controlling the position.
McCants controls Litter momentarily but Litter frees himself.

Litter thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Litter missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
McCants throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
McCants throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
McCants misses with a double jab
and Litter counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for McCants!
Litter moves to take his opponent's back.
Litter is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but McCants has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Litter tries to keep control of the position but McCants is staying busy.
McCants just trying to survive but Litter is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Litter working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
McCants trying to control the hands but Litter breaks the grip.
McCants is trying to break free.
Litter has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Litter working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. McCants is doing well to defend. Litter seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! McCants is forced to tap and this one is over!
