Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matt Price (ranked 6265 p4p, 5496 weight class) and Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matt Price is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Matt Price!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nick Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Sandra Marshall and Peter Branson.

Diaz feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Price keeping moving, preventing Diaz from controlling successfully.
Diaz works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Price is trying to control but can't.
Price tries to roll over but Diaz keeps him under control.
Diaz uses his free foot to push down on Price's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Price.
Price sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Price is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Diaz defends well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Diaz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Price has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Diaz has managed to get both his arms back between Price's legs - danger averted.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Price wants to sweep but no luck.
Diaz stays in close to Price's body and controls the position.
Diaz must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Price can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Diaz controls the pace.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

We've been hearing good reports from Price's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Price tries to keep at a distance but Diaz has taken the fight into the clinch.

Price has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Diaz is working away from the top position though.
Price is pressing down on Diaz's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Price is on top in guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Diaz prevents Price from improving his position.
Diaz lands strikes from half guard.
Diaz throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Diaz not doing much here.
Price has hold of Diaz's hands but Diaz slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Price is looking for a sweep. Diaz is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Diaz in particular looking to stall.

Diaz escapes and gets back to his feet.
Diaz's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Price connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Diaz scrambles back to his feet.

Diaz shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Diaz was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Diaz has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Price is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Diaz has just dragged him back down to the mat.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Nick Diaz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Price scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Diaz doesn't seem bothered though.
Price sizes up Diaz with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Matt Price showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Diaz has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
