Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chubby Funster (ranked 1048 p4p, 1258 weight class) and Teshima Shigochiyo (ranked 127 p4p, 153 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Funster might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Village People - YMCA. Shigochiyo has chosen Yoshida Brothers - Rising as his entrance music. Chubby Funster is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chubby Funster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Teshima Shigochiyo!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Daniel Cesar and Mauricio Rocha.

Funster shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Shigochiyo as he avoids it easily.
Shigochiyo has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Shigochiyo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Funster is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Shigochiyo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Funster doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Shigochiyo.

Shigochiyo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Funster is just riding it out for now. Shigochiyo eventually gives up the hold.

Shigochiyo is looking for a kimura but Funster is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Shigochiyo to get the leverage.

Funster shoots for a double leg takedown but Shigochiyo sprawls well. He's pushed Funster's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Shigochiyo is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Funster is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Funster has escaped and now he's on top!

That was a close second round but I would say that Chubby Funster will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well Shigochiyo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
