Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ruslan Danilov!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.

McDonald thows a left - swing and a miss!
Danilov tries to counter with a clinch but McDonald shakes him off and moves away.
Good work by Danilov as he checks the leg kick.
McDonald definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Danilov misses with an uppercut.
Danilov connects with a looping right hand.

McDonald has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Danilov clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

McDonald is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Danilov is surviving well by controlling McDonald's body position as best he can.
McDonald has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
McDonald can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Danilov is looking to escape.
Danilov tries to reverse the position but McDonald maintains control.
McDonald takes Danilov's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Danilov is in trouble.

McDonald is persistently looking for the submission but Danilov is defending it well.
Danilov wants to escape the position.
Danilov staying busy and making it hard for McDonald to control.
McDonald is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Danilov is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Danilov manages to reverse the position and now he's in McDonald's guard. Nice work there by Danilov.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

McDonald working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Danilov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Danilov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Danilov has closed the distance and engaged McDonald in a clinch.
McDonald is trying to break the clinch but Danilov has him pressed against the cage.

McDonald tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Danilov just stands there and leans against the cage.

Danilov seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but McDonald does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Danilov is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! McDonald is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

After the fight, Ruslan Danilov was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
David McDonald spoke after the fight, saying 'I asked for this rematch, and he got me again. Shit... he had my number, and full points to him, but I gotta circle back on things. He's a tough guy, and man oh man, I think he'll be a champ.'.
