The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batista wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Glutton checks a leg kick.
Batista shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Batista lands a big shot that drops Glutton! Can he finish him?

It looks like Paulie Glutton has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Batista postures up in Glutton's guard and throws a big left but Glutton blocks it.
Glutton has a closed guard, preventing Batista from standing up.
Batista in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Glutton is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Batista is controlling him.

Batista wanted to stand there but Glutton had control of the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Batista tries a head kick but it misses.
Batista misses the shot to the body.
Batista uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Glutton.
Batista looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Glutton is fending him off so far but Batista persists. Nope, Glutton circles away and we're back to standing.
Batista scores with a hook to the body. Glutton takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Batista tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Paulie Glutton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Batista drops Glutton with a beautiful combination! Glutton stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Batista is looking for the KO!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
