Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Elijah James (ranked 7643 p4p, 5172 weight class) and Ermenek Ryzhkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ryzhkin feints and then cracks James's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow James down.

Ryzhkin shoots in and bounces James off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

James knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ryzhkin on the ground.

Ryzhkin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Ryzhkin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

It looks like Ryzhkin might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
James looks like he's trying to stand up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ryzhkin takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
James is breathing heavily.

Ryzhkin stands up from half guard.

Ryzhkin is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in James's half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ryzhkin works his way into side control.
Ryzhkin remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Let's hope that Ryzhkin has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
