Silva tries to bum rush Kade with a series of wild strikes but Kade uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Kade shoots in and gets a takedown into Silva's guard.
Kade trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom.
Silva wants to get back to his feet but Kade is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Kade thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kade is standing up over Silva. Silva looks to escape but Kade dives into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kade is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Silva has escaped the position, nice work there.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Silva can do anything to dispel that myth.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Silva managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Kade.

Silva parries the strikes from Kade easily there. Kade is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Silva to escape.

Kade tries for a kimura but Silva is defending well.

Kade thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Silva is pushing Kade's head away, looking to escape. Kade manages to hold on to the position though.
Kade has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Kade trying to control but Silva is having none of it.
Silva tries to buck Kade off but he can't manage it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
