PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Tug (ranked 6710 p4p, 4758 weight class) and Alan Foreman (ranked 0 p4p, 453 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Tug!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alan Foreman!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.

Foreman takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Mark Tug seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tug moves into range and connects with a jab.

It looks like Alan Foreman has been cut.
Tug throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tug connects with a good right hand that stumbles Foreman. Foreman circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Foreman has managed to clinch.
Tug has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Foreman prevents Tug from breaking the clinch.

Foreman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Foreman slips a jab and a cross from Tug.
Tug shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Foreman eats them both and turns towards Tug to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

That has opened up Alan Foreman's cut even more.

Foreman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Tug scrambles and gets back to his feet.
The fighters circle momentarily. Tug darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Foreman is rocked!

Foreman tries for a takedown but Tug sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Tug throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Foreman.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Foreman turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Foreman manages to end up in side control.

Tug throws Foreman to one side and escapes!

Tug pushes Foreman off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Tug fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Foreman manages to avoid it.

Foreman shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Tug manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Foreman keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Foreman jumps into guard, dragging Tug to the mat.
Tug throws a big elbow that misses.
Foreman has control of Tug's left arm, preventing Tug from doing any damage.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Foreman lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Foreman on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Tug throws a series of punches but Foreman avoids them all with ease.

Foreman throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Tug tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Foreman is in Tug's guard.

Foreman chips away with some ground and pound.

Foreman gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Foreman lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Foreman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Foreman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tug. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
