Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Rex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Muhummad Abdul Rahim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rex might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Through The Fire And Flames by Dragonforce. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tyson Rex!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Muhummad Abdul Rahim!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rex shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rex was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Rex lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Rex wants to control the pace but Abdul Rahim is squirming around nicely.
Rex lands a nice shot to the head.
A nice elbow there by Rex.
Rex looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rex postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Abdul Rahim looks a forlorn figure.
Abdul Rahim wants to hold on but Rex pushes him away.
Rex lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Rex trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Rex swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Abdul Rahim is now in Rex's guard. A big mistake from Rex there, giving up the dominant position!

Abdul Rahim thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Rex escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Abdul Rahim gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rex is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Rex looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Abdul Rahim is looking to improve his position.
Rex trying to mount his opponent but Abdul Rahim defends it.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Abdul Rahim gets to his feet - Rex follows without any prompting.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyson Rex dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and Rex counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Rex is pushing down on Abdul Rahim's leg trying to pass to half guard. Abdul Rahim is fighting to maintain full guard but Rex has managed to sneak the leg through.

Rex has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Rex tries to lock up and control but Abdul Rahim gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Rex lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Abdul Rahim!

Rex is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Abdul Rahim has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Rex has hold of Abdul Rahim's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Abdul Rahim manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Abdul Rahim tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Rex cranks the arm and Abdul Rahim screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Abdul Rahim, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
