Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Trace Finlay (ranked 25445 p4p, 6982 weight class) and Jacob Gayle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Finlay comes to the cage accompanied by Hot Girl Bummer. Trace Finlay has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Finlay closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Gayle has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Finlay regains guard immediately.

Finlay pushes Gayle off and scrambles back to his feet.
Sloppy strikes from Finlay. Those never looked like landing.

Finlay moves into the clinch.

Finlay escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Gayle has closed the distance and engaged Finlay in a clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Finlay successfully pulls guard.

Finlay has his feet on Gayle's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Finlay bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Gayle looks winded!

Gayle darts in and clinches Finlay up against the cage.
Finlay drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gayle pulls his leg out and moves away.

Finlay lands a head kick!
Finlay misses with a kick to the body.
Finlay throws a sloppy head kick and Gayle moves out of range easily.

Finlay shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Gayle manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Gayle is trying to control the position but Finlay postures up.
Finlay's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Finlay has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Finlay stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Gayle shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Finlay's guard.

Finlay kicks Gayle off and gets to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Gayle has managed to clinch.

Finlay breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Finlay lands a front kick.

Finlay fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Gayle to the ground. Finlay is now in Gayle's guard.

Our spies down at at Cozad The Island inform us that Gayle has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Finlay with a flurry of punches that miss.

Finlay looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Finlay.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Finlay fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gayle sprawls well initially but Finlay persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Finlay decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Finlay's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Finlay keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Gayle's head.

Finlay drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Finlay as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Gayle screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Finlay! Nice submission victory there!

Post fight, Trace Finlay took to the microphone: 'Hey man, I just wiped out one of your top guys. I'm ready for somebody that is actually good. LETS GO !!!'.
