Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tenni Chen (ranked 4958 p4p, 4588 weight class) and Will Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Will Nelson has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Tenni Chen's chin.

A head kick by Nelson misses
and Chen counters with a left and a right that stings Nelson.
Chen shoots in but Nelson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Chen slips a jab and a cross from Nelson.
Chen fires out a quick counter leg kick but Nelson just manages to avoid it.
Nelson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Chen but Chen pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Chen has taken the fight to the clinch.
With the fighters up against the cage, Nelson throws an elbow but misses.
Chen is trying to drag Nelson to the mat but Nelson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Chen is defended easily by Nelson.

Chen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Nelson, pushing him back against the cage.

Nelson is trying to force a seperation but Chen has the dominant position.

Nelson tries to score a body lock takedown but Chen shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Chen keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Nelson's efforts to push away.

Chen ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Chen no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Chen looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nelson is fending him off so far but Chen persists. Nope, Nelson circles away and we're back to standing.
Nelson tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Chen tries to close the distance and clinch but Nelson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Chen attempts a counter takedown but Nelson avoids it well and moves away.

Despite the aggression on Nelson's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Nelson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sloppy strikes from Chen. Those never looked like landing.
Chen on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nelson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Chen looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Chen looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Chen!

Chen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nelson's waist but Nelson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chen off to one side.
