Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andy Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey Ronald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ronald has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Andy Kane has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Mickey Ronald!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Sam Margolis and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ronald tries to clinch but Kane moves out of range.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kane connects with a nice short shot to Ronald's temple.

Kane closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Kane throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Kane feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Ronald had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kane is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Ronald Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Kane's back instead.

Kane is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Ronald gets his way!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Ronald has control of Kane's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kane regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Ronald is looking to work his way around to Kane's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

Kane lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Ronald down.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well Kane has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
