PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pellegrino DuPont (ranked 3066 p4p, 6259 weight class) and Toe Foot (ranked 357 p4p, 539 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Foot is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down DuPont 's shoulder. That is not cool.

Foot is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but DuPont is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
DuPont bucks up and tries to throw Foot off but instead Foot has got his back!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

DuPont is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Foot gets his way!

DuPont knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Foot on the ground.

Foot is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Foot gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Foot gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Foot apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Foot closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

DuPont is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Foot can do to turn this around?
Foot is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Foot wants to clinch up but DuPont keeps it at a distance.
Foot takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
DuPont thuds his right hand into Foot's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Foot shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

DuPont shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Foot eats them both and turns towards DuPont to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
DuPont fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Foot on the side of the head.
DuPont connects with a good right hand that stumbles Foot. Foot circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
DuPont pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Foot back to the cage. DuPont follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
A left lands for DuPont .
DuPont throws a good cross that connects.
Pellegrino DuPont is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Foot's hands are dropping dangerously low here and DuPont connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Foot scrambles back to his feet.

DuPont scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Foot doesn't seem bothered though.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for DuPont , winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
