PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vince Wall (ranked 5050 p4p, 4812 weight class) and Steven Lee (ranked 87 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steven Lee!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.

The fighters circling - Lee throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Wall closes the distance and clinches up with Lee, looking for a takedown. Wall pushes Lee against the cage but Lee circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Wall moves out of range of the strikes.
Wall shoots for a double leg takedown but Lee sprawls well. He's pushed Wall's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Wall takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Wall shoots in looking for a takedown. Lee tries to sprawl out of it but Wall keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lee manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A little jabbing left from Lee on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Wall tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lee defends well and Wall ends up having to push Lee into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

It seemed like Lee was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Lee leaves Wall with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Lee stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lee wants it to stay on the feet.
Lee looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Wall goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Lee rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Wall's guard! Nice work there by Lee!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lee stands up and waves to Wall to follow him.

Lee works over Wall's head and body with a nice combination.

Lee has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Lee has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Steven Lee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Lee lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Lee clobbers Wall with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Wall goes for a double leg but Lee avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lee continues to drive forward.
Wall dives in and grabs Lee's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lee pushes down on Wall's head and hops out.

Lee feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Walls jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Steven Lee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Lee winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
