Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rory Shachner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brit Heffron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brit Heffron is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rory Shachner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brit Heffron!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Emerson Jorge and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heffron swings for the body but Shachner moves out of range.

Shachner shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shachner looking to secure an arm triangle but Heffron defends it well.
Heffron flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Heffron can't escape the position.
Heffron throws a strike from the bottom but Shachner uses the opportunity to take his back.
Can Heffron hold on?! Shachner is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.

Heffron breaks Shachner's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Heffron passes into half guard.
Heffron wants to take a breather but Shachner is having none of it.
Heffron lands with a punch from half guard.

Heffron moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Shachner has worked his arm free - good work by Shachner!

Heffron isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Shachner stacks Heffron on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Shachner!

That was a close second round but I would say that Rory Shachner will probably get the nod.

Heffron gets caught flat footed, as Shachner shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Heffron is trying to land a reversal but Shachner doesn't like that idea too much. He pushed the legs to the side and dives into side control. He's managed to grab a loose arm triangle. Shachner is tightening it up though! This could be trouble for Heffron! Heffron trying desperately to escape but he's gone limp! He's out! Wooooorld class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu from Shachner!
