The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clem tries to close the distance and clinch up but Douglas swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Clem tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Douglas keeps the fight on the outside.
Clem shoots in for a takedown but Douglas shows good takedown defense.
Clem tries to close the distance and clinch but Douglas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Clem tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Douglas paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Clem thuds his right hand into Douglas's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

It looks like Chris Douglas has been cut.

Douglas decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Clem looks like he's trying to stand up.
Clem could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Clem is looking for a sweep. Douglas is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Douglas is trying to control. Clem wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Clem tries to roll over but Douglas keeps him under control.
Douglas content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Douglas frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Clem in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Clem's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Douglas putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Clem is breathing heavily.
Douglas tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Douglas wants to control the pace but Clem is squirming around nicely.

Douglas working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Clem looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Douglas! Submission of the night perhaps?
