Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ruslan Omnikov (ranked 6745 p4p, 3092 weight class) and Fahri Hamzah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.

Hamzah rushes Omnikov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hamzah jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Omnikov walks away with a smile on his face. Hamzah gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Omnikov tries to score with a low kick but Hamzah moves his leg out of the way.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hamzah tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Omnikov has a couple of punches blocked by Hamzah.
Hamzah jumps guard but Omnikov stands there with Hamzah around his waist. Hamzah gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Ruslan Omnikov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fahri Hamzah.
Omnikov misses with the head strike.
Omnikov is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hamzah can't fight it off and eventually Omnikov manages to take the fight to the floor. Hamzah looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Omnikov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Omnikov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Omnikov wants to sweep but no luck.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Hamzah is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Omnikov to keep the fight standing.
Omnikov's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Omnikov manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Omnikov looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
