Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Drapton Heed (ranked 2518 p4p, 3302 weight class) and Klaus Silverstein (ranked 260 p4p, 320 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Drapton Heed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Klaus Silverstein!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.

Heed misses with a straight right.
Heed slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Silverstein keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Heed.
Silverstein misses with a straight left.
Heed has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Tycoon Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Silverstein moves to clinch but Heed breaks away
and Heed counters with a right hand to the body.
Heed ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Silverstein ducks under a wild hook from Heed.
Heed throws a lazy uppercut

and Silverstein counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Silverstein is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Heed defends it well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Heed on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Heed tries to get out of the position.

Silverstein is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Heed trying to control from the bottom.
Silverstein looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Let's hope that Silverstein has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The fight stays on the outside here - Silverstein looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Heed throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Drapton Heed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silverstein throws a right hand that Heed ducks under and follows up with a left that Heed also avoids with ease.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Silverstein uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Heed.
Silverstein is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Heed with a body shot.
Heed misses with a straight right.
Silverstein wants to clinch up but Heed keeps it at a distance.
Heed takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Silverstein rushes Heed and presses him up against the cage.
Heed misses with a short punch on the inside.

Heed breaks the clinch.
Silverstein uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Heed.
Heed cracks a nice hook into Silverstein's ribs.

Silverstein drives through and clinches with Heed against the cage.
Heed lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Silverstein backwards.

Heed breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Silverstein lands a jab to Heed's midsection.
A shot to the liver by Heed. Beautiful body shot.
Sloppy strikes from Silverstein. Those never looked like landing.
Silverstein tries a head kick but it misses.
Silverstein looks to land a left hand but Heed moved out of range nicely.
An attempted straight right counter from Heed misses the target.
Heed misses with a hook. Silverstein ducked under it nicely.
Heed looks to score with a jab to the body but Silverstein is just out of range.

and Silverstein counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Heed throws a body shot but no joy.
Heed ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Silverstein moves away.
Heed misses with an uppercut.
Heed takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Heed avoids a punch combination nicely.

Silverstein feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Silverstein stays in close to Heed's body and controls the position.
Silverstein stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Heed swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Drapton Heed will probably get the nod.
That's time! Heed's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Silverstein takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Silverstein slips a jab from Heed.
Heed on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Heed swings for the body but Silverstein moves out of range.

Silverstein lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Silverstein.
Heed thows a left - swing and a miss!
Silverstein changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Silverstein tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Silverstein is continuing to stall.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
More stalling from Silverstein.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Klaus Silverstein comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Silverstein has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
