Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Muten Roshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reed is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Afternoon Delight by Channel 4 news team. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Muten Roshi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pete Reed!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reed takes the fight into the clinch.
Reed pushes Roshi back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Reed tries to land knees in the clinch but Roshi avoids the damage to the body.
Reed is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Roshi has Reed pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Roshi pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Reed tumbling to the mat - Roshi dives into Reed's guard.
Roshi postures up in Reed's guard and throws a big left but Reed blocks it.
Roshi throws a big right hand that misses.
Roshi throwing strikes but missing.

Roshi drops back looking for a leg! Reed is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Reed manages to kick Roshi off! Roshi jumps back into Reed's guard.
Roshi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Roshi has gone for a leg lock! Reed slips out almost immediately though and dives into Roshi's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Roshi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Reed doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Reed manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Reed stands up and waves to Roshi to follow him.
Roshi checks the leg kick nicely there.

Reed clinches.

Roshi manages to break the clinch.
Roshi misses with a few strikes there.
Roshi misses with a low kick as Reed jumps back.

Reed scores with a takedown into Roshi's guard.

Roshi isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Reed stacks Roshi on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Reed!
Roshi gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Reed stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Roshi slips under a jab.
Reed throws a nice looking combination but Roshi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Reed shoots in but Roshi avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Reed wants to land a leg kick but Roshi is out of range.
Roshi throws an overhand right that lands on Reed's shoulder, as Reed tries to avoid the shot.
Roshi throws a low kick but it's checked well by Reed.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Roshi.
Reed looks gassed!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Roshi is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Reed has escaped the position, nice work there.
The strikes coming from Roshi are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Roshi tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Roshi is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Reed knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Roshi looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Roshi working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Roshi trying to control the position but Reed is working away.

Reed tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Reed tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Reed is looking to improve his position but Roshi isn't that keen on the idea.

Reed defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Roshi.
Reed really wants to buck Roshi off and get back to his feet.

Roshi has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Reed is forced to tap!
