Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joana Guerra (ranked 4840 p4p, 4751 weight class) and Pal Simmeon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Simmeon moves into the clinch.
Simmeon managing to block the knees to the body from Guerra.
Simmeon tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Guerra's elbow.
Simmeon tries to work over Guerra's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Simmeon has a couple of punches blocked by Guerra.

Guerra jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Simmeon walks away with a smile on his face. Guerra gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Simmeon connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Guerra's hands.

Guerra fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Simmeon to the ground. Guerra is now in Simmeon's guard.

Simmeon has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Guerra has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Simmeon should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Simmeon bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Guerra's head backwards.

Guerra looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Simmeon!

Simmeon is pushing Guerra's head away, looking to escape. Guerra manages to hold on to the position though.

Guerra stands up.

Guerra feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Simmeon scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Guerra takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Simmeon lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
A decent looking cross lands there for Simmeon.
Guerra throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Simmeon.

Simmeon is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Guerra had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Guerra walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Simmeon drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Guerra right on the button. Guerra goes down! Simmeon follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Simmeon gets the win via TKO!

Pal Simmeon decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
