Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alouysius Anthony (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Royal pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
pain shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Anthony wants to hold on but pain pushes him away.
Anthony holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as pain tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
pain lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Anthony is working to get back to half guard.
Anthony regains half guard.
pain thows a huge punch but Anthony dodges it nicely.

pain thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Anthony's head.

Anthony pushes pain off and gets back to his feet.

and pain counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Anthony's guard now.

Anthony could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
pain throws a leg kick which misses Anthony's front leg but catches the back leg as Anthony tries to avoid it.

pain looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Anthony!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

pain throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Anthony tries to lock up and control but pain gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Anthony is wriggling around trying to escape.
pain moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Anthony has worked his arm free - good work by Anthony!

Anthony sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Anthony is looking for a sweep. pain is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
pain thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
pain is nestled in close to Anthony, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Anthony blocking the ground and pound attempt from pain.
Anthony is looking to improve his position.
Anthony misses with some strikes from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Anthony closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
pain wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.

pain is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

pain throws a front kick that sends Anthony stumbling back into the cage.
pain tries to clinch up but Anthony circles away and keeps his distance.

and pain counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by pain.

pain throws and elbow that misses. Anthony uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in pain's guard. Nice move by Anthony!
pain throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
pain is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

and pain counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by pain.
Anthony has had enough of the clinch but pain keeps him there for the moment.

pain looking to throw knees to the head but Anthony is blocking nicely.
pain gets control of Anthony's arms and successfully pulls guard. pain will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

pain throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Anthony escapes and throws pain's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Anthony gets to mount! pain was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Royal pain showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Anthony throws a chopping leg kick but pain manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Anthony pulls out of a head kick attempt.
pain shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than pain was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Anthony wants to control but pain is having none of it.
Anthony is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Anthony wants to hold on but pain pushes him away.

pain sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Anthony can't escape the position.
pain is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Anthony has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Anthony!
pain takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Anthony seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

pain trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
pain lands an upkick as Anthony stands over him.
pain has his foot on Anthony's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Anthony works his way back into a safe position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Anthony misses with a takedown attempt
and pain counters with a three punch combo that has Anthony backing up. Anthony nods at pain to acknowledge the strikes.
Alouysius Anthony is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
pain tries to clinch up.
Anthony fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt pain.
Anthony throws a lazy head kick
and pain counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Anthony is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Anthony shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts pain as he jumps to the side.
Anthony throws a solid leg kick but pain takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Anthony.

Alouysius Anthony seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and pain counters with a left and a right that stings Anthony.

Royal pain comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well pain has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
