Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thanatos Anastasiadis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keijo Kanuuna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Thanatos Anastasiadis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Keijo Kanuuna!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kanuuna drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Anastasiadis looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Anastasiadis wants to stand but Kanuuna is controlling the position.
Anastasiadis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kanuuna on the ground.
Kanuuna trying to control but Anastasiadis is working from the bottom.
Anastasiadis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kanuuna tries to free his leg and advance position but Anastasiadis is retaining full guard.
Anastasiadis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kanuuna trying to control the position from guard on top but Anastasiadis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Anastasiadis is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Anastasiadis fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kanuuna shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Anastasiadis pinned against the cage. Anastasiadis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Kanuuna shoots in and bounces Anastasiadis off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Anastasiadis is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kanuuna is controlling him.
Anastasiadis on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Anastasiadis tries to get out of the position.

Kanuuna is pushing down on Anastasiadis's leg trying to pass to half guard. Anastasiadis is fighting to maintain full guard but Kanuuna has managed to sneak the leg through.
Kanuuna prevents Anastasiadis from standing back up.

Kanuuna seems to be looking for submissions.
Anastasiadis is looking for a sweep. Kanuuna is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Kanuuna is working for a kimura but Anastasiadis is defending it quite comfortably.
Kanuuna perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Anastasiadis tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Kanuuna manages to move to mount!
Anastasiadis is squirming around, avoiding Kanuuna's attempts to control the action.
Anastasiadis is trying to escape the mount.
Anastasiadis is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Anastasiadis is breathing heavily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Anastasiadis is squirming around, avoiding Kanuuna's attempts to control the action.
Anastasiadis tries to hold on but Kanuuna postures up.
Anastasiadis is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Kanuuna controlling from the full mount.
Kanuuna wants to control the pace but Anastasiadis is squirming around nicely.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Keijo Kanuuna dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Kanuuna throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Anastasiadis tries to clinch but Kanuuna moves out of range.
Left hook, right uppercut from Anastasiadis.
Oooh a lovely combination from Anastasiadis sends Kanuuna down but not out. Anastasiadis dives into side control looking to finish.


Kanuuna is rocked!
Anastasiadis tries to get to his feet but Kanuuna is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Anastasiadis in his guard.
Anastasiadis won't allow Kanuuna to sweep him here.
Anastasiadis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kanuuna manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Anastasiadis really wants to buck Kanuuna off and get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Anastasiadis is trying desperately to improve position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kanuuna jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Anastasiadis manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Anastasiadis tries to clinch but Kanuuna is having none of it.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Thanatos Anastasiadis dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Kanuuna throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Anastasiadis misses with a series of wild punches.
Anastasiadis is looking to clinch but Kanuuna is avoiding it.
Anastasiadis doesn't manage to clinch there - Kanuuna circles away.

Anastasiadis moves into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Anastasiadis fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Anastasiadis gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kanuuna.
Come on Anastasiadis - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Kanuuna blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Anastasiadis wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Anastasiadis wants to break free but Kanuuna has control.

Kanuuna breaks from the clinch.
Kanuuna dodges the punch combination from Anastasiadis.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kanuuna shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Anastasiadis but Anastasiadis pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Anastasiadis lands with a hook. Kanuuna tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Anastasiadis throws a series of punches but Kanuuna avoids them all with ease.
Kanuuna closes this distance looking for a takedown but Anastasiadis circles away.
Thanatos Anastasiadis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Keijo Kanuuna.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Kanuuna changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Anastasiadis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Anastasiadis is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kanuuna has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Kanuuna is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Anastasiadis is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Anastasiadis wants to get back to his feet but Kanuuna is dominant here and he's now got Anastasiadis's back!
Anastasiadis covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Kanuuna is looking to control Anastasiadis but Anastasiadis is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Anastasiadis controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

Kanuuna is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Anastasiadis. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
Anastasiadis is trying to stand back up.
Kanuuna lands punches and elbows.
Anastasiadis controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Kanuuna is looking to control Anastasiadis but Anastasiadis is wriggling around and keeping busy.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
