Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oswald Jordan (ranked 4882 p4p, 4346 weight class) and Will Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Will Nelson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Oswald Jordan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Will Nelson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.

Nelson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Jordan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Nelson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jordan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jordan is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nelson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nelson takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Jordan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nelson keeps working.

Jordan seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Nelson for as long as he can get away with.
Jordan is pressing down on Nelson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Nelson is holding on for now.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Jordan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Jordan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Jordan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Nelson has a closed guard, preventing Jordan from standing up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Nelson throws his legs up looking for a submission but Jordan uses it to pass to side control.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Jordan is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Nelson's half guard.

Jordan has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Oswald Jordan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Nelson is trying to defend against the choke here but Jordan has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Jordan Tightens the hold and Nelson taps out furiously! Jordan displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
