Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luiz Franca (ranked 1508 p4p, 1745 weight class) and David McDonald (ranked 229 p4p, 265 weight class). Franca comes to the cage accompanied by The Greatest Showman. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Franca changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McDonald tries to avoid it but Franca manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McDonald to the ground. McDonald escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Franca moves out of range of the body kick.
Franca darts in looking for a takedown but McDonald gets double underhooks and turns Franca into the cage.
Franca backing away here, and McDonald unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Franca shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luiz Franca. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McDonald throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Franca's head.

It looks like Luiz Franca has been cut.

McDonald gets caught flat footed, as Franca shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

McDonald is looking to cinch up a triangle. Franca throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to McDonald's body to avoid the submission. McDonald has instead reached around Franca's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! McDonald arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
