Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jack Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamal Harrision (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jamal Harrision was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson is looking to clinch but Harrision is avoiding it.
Johnson fails to land with a series of punches.

Harrision closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Harrision lands in his opponent's guard.

Harrision shoots for a double leg takedown but Johnson sprawls well. He's pushed Harrision's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Johnson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Harrision is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Johnson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Harrision's back instead.

Johnson looking to break Harrision's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Harrision remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Johnson will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Johnson is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Harrision is defending well though. Johnson let's go of the attempt for now.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Johnson wants to stand up but Harrision is controlling him.

Johnson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Harrision shoots in and bounces Johnson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Johnson has his foot on Harrision's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Harrision works his way back into a safe position though.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Harrision accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Harrision makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Harrision is standing up over Johnson. Johnson looks to escape but Harrision dives into side control.

Harrision lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Johnson down.

Johnson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Harrision's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Harrision's back!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Harrision feints and as Johnson raises his hands in defense, Harrision changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Harrision can do anything to dispel that myth.
Johnson postures up in Harrision's guard and throws a big left but Harrision blocks it.
Johnson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Harrision is proving hard to escape from.
Harrision has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Johnson misses with a takedown

and Harrision moves into the clinch.
Harrision drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Johnson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Harrision pulls his leg out and moves away.

so Harrision counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Harrision wants to get up but he can't break Johnson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Johnson throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Johnson lands a head kick. Harrision smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Harrision closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Harrision wants to pass to mount but Johnson is defending the position.
Johnson wants to improve his position but Harrision is controlling well.
Johnson is pressing down on Harrision's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Johnson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Harrision gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Harrision throws and elbow that misses. Johnson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Harrision's guard. Nice move by Johnson!
Johnson is in close to Harrision's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Harrision is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Harrision is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Jamal Harrision is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Johnson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
