The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Garcia shoots in and bounces Hero off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Garcia is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Garcia distracts Hero with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Garcia has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Garcia looking to sit in guard and control but Hero gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Hero has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Garcia has his foot on Hero's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hero works his way back into a safe position though.

Garcia looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Hero has picked Garcia up and slammed him! Garcia can't keep hold of the triangle and Hero manages to pass to side control!

Hero thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Hero tries to move to mount but Garcia blocks the move with his legs.

Garcia pecks away with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Garcia sneaks back into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hero is breathing heavily.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Garcia is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hero's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hero's back!

Garcia lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Hero defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Garcia's arms.
Garcia is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Garcia gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Garcia gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Garcia apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Hero closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hero lands in his opponent's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Oh but Garcia is tightening it up a little... Hero has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Hero reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Hero taps out! nice BJJ there by Garcia!
