Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Malam Sambu (ranked 3203 p4p, 3451 weight class) and Chase Boy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

Sambu lands a jab-cross combination.
Sambu definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Sambu darts in and clinches Boy up against the cage.
A left hand lands to the body for Sambu.

Sambu has hold of one of Boy's legs. Boy is fighting the takedown attempt but Sambu gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Sambu slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Sambu postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Boy lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boy stands and throws Sambu's legs to the side, diving into side control.
My spies in Cozad The Island inform me that Boy has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Boy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Boy is working to tighten his grip on Sambu's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Sambu has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Boy is really squeezing tight and eventually Sambu passes out! Boy breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
