Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Allan Shorts (ranked 4868 p4p, 4794 weight class) and Vitali Kersikov (ranked 514 p4p, 0 weight class). Kersikov has chosen Coone - A Light That Never Comes as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Shorts stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kersikov.
Shorts lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

It looks like Vitali Kersikov has been cut.
Kersikov throws a leg kick which misses Shorts's front leg but catches the back leg as Shorts tries to avoid it.

Shorts lands with a hook. Kersikov tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Kersikov lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kersikov lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Shorts has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Shorts and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Shorts shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kersikov's guard.

Kersikov's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Shorts connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kersikov scrambles back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shorts is working Kersikov over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Shorts gets to his feet and stands over Kersikov, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Kersikov felt that one! Shorts unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Kersikov from any more punishment!
