Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hans Cosmo (ranked 2983 p4p, 3088 weight class) and Marcus Megnus Maximus Jr Maximus Jr (ranked 356 p4p, 368 weight class). Marcus Megnus Maximus Jr Maximus Jr will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Maximus Jr has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Maximus Jr throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Cosmo's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Maximus Jr dives in looking to finish as Cosmo flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Maximus Jr's strikes! Maximus Jr is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Cosmo's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Cosmo was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
