Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Project Cd (ranked 3653 p4p, 2259 weight class) and Jay Cartwright (ranked 188 p4p, 127 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Cd misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Cd takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Cd slaps away a takedown attempt from Cartwright, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Cartwright postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Cd is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Cartwright, into his guard.

Cd has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Cartwright is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cd knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Cartwright drops back, looking for a kneebar! Cd looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Cd looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Cd!

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Cd in particular looking to stall.
Cd lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Cd is nestled in close to Cartwright, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
