PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Artem Petrov (ranked 2690 p4p, 3119 weight class) and Zackmarius Tacktheritrix (ranked 281 p4p, 317 weight class). Zackmarius Tacktheritrix told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Petrov is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Tacktheritrix pulls his head out easily.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Tacktheritrix will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Tacktheritrix goes for a double leg but Petrov avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Petrov continues to drive forward.

Petrov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tacktheritrix looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Petrov jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Tacktheritrix is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Tacktheritrix and Petrov has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
