And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Theo Radcliffe!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Radcliffe looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Evans looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Radcliffe!

Evans wants to finish this one by submission but Radcliffe is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Evans.

Evans is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Radcliffe has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Radcliffe!

Evans is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Evans looking for a guillotine here but Radcliffe defends easily.
Radcliffe must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Radcliffe would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Radcliffe is taking a breather. Evans says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Radcliffe looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Radcliffe looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Evans with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Radcliffe keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Radcliffe uses his free foot to push down on Evans's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Evans.
Radcliffe tries to control but Evans wriggling away.
Evans is desperately trying to improve his position but Radcliffe has a good base and remains in mount.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Radcliffe looking to control but Evans is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Evans tries to reverse the position but Radcliffe maintains control.
Radcliffe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Evans. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Evans is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Evans is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Radcliffe tries to control but Evans wriggling away.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Evans is looking to improve his position but Radcliffe isn't that keen on the idea.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Evans regains half guard.
Radcliffe wants to take a breather but Evans is having none of it.

Evans makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Evans.
Evans is breathing heavily.
Radcliffe trying to control but Evans is working from the bottom.

Evans working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Radcliffe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Radcliffe manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Radcliffe wants to get up but he can't break Evans's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Radcliffe lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Evans circles away quickly and effectively.
Radcliffe uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Evans.
Radcliffe looks to land a combination but Evans avoids it well.
Radcliffe misses with a jab, cross combination.

Evans shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Evans showed some decent athleticism there.

Evans seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Radcliffe is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
