Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sancho Zola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshihiro Akiyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zola comes into the arena with Black Crow On A Tombstone by Satyricon blaring out of the sound system. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sancho Zola!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshihiro Akiyama!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akiyama shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Zola pinned against the cage. Zola gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Zola lands a jab to Akiyama's midsection.
Zola throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Akiyama was covering up waiting for the punch and Zola finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Zola decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Akiyama, up you get!
Zola blocks a head kick by Akiyama.
Zola works Akiyama's body with a nice hook.
Akiyama tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Akiyama tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Akiyama fails in his attempt to clinch.
Zola lands a nice hook to Akiyama's body. Akiyama takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Akiyama looks gassed!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Good exchange - Zola coming out on top.
Zola works over Akiyama's head and body with a nice combination.
It looks like Yoshihiro Akiyama has been cut.
Akiyama takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Zola rushes Akiyama with punches - Akiyama moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Akiyama goes down! Zola follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sancho Zola!
