Daisuke is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bullet For My Valentine - Waking The Demon. Jouichirou Daisuke has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Alex Andrews's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andrews throws a right hand that Daisuke ducks under and follows up with a left that Daisuke also avoids with ease.
Daisuke tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Andrews was well out of range. Poor timing from Daisuke.
Daisuke avoids a punch combination nicely.
Daisuke misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Andrews.
Andrews looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Daisuke is fending him off so far but Andrews persists. Nope, Daisuke circles away and we're back to standing.

You get the feeling that Daisuke really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Andrews swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Daisuke is now in Andrews's guard. A big mistake from Andrews there, giving up the dominant position!
Andrews has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Andrews controls Daisuke momentarily but Daisuke frees himself.
