Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dirt Magurt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Kawajiri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dirt Magurt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tyson Kawajiri!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kawajiri thows a body shot but no joy.
Kawajiri misses the jab.
Kawajiri looks to land a left hand but Magurt moved out of range nicely.
Magurt is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
It looks like Dirt Magurt has been cut.
Magurt lands with an uppercut that bounces Kawajiri off the cage and back into rage.
It looks like Tyson Kawajiri has been cut.
Magurt tries to clinch but Kawajiri is having none of it.
Magurt takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Magurt swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Kawajiri counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kawajiri throws a looping overhand right but Magurt ducks down to avoid it.
Kawajiri throws a right hand that Magurt ducks under and follows up with a left that Magurt also avoids with ease.
Magurt fails with an attempt to clinch.
Magurt lands with a cross.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kawajiri misses with a hook. Magurt ducked under it nicely.
Kawajiri fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Magurt takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Magurt cracks the inside of Kawajiri's front leg.
Magurt keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kawajiri.
Kawajiri misses with a double jab.
Kawajiri rushes Magurt with punches - Magurt moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Magurt goes down! Kawajiri follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tyson Kawajiri!
