The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaetz moves away from the strike by Wolf.
Wolf is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gaetz sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Nice uppercut there from Gaetz.

Gaetz swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Wolf was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

We've been hearing reports that Wolf has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Gaetz has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Wolf looks to land a combination. Gaetz sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Wolf swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Wolf changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gaetz tries to avoid it but Wolf manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gaetz to the ground. Gaetz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Howlin Wolf seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wolf cracks Gaetz with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Gaetz connects with a single shot there.
Wolf rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Gaetz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gaetz thuds his shin into the meat of Wolf's side.
Wolf has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Gaetz finds it's way round the side to connect with Wolf's head.
Wolf will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
A little jabbing left from Gaetz on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Wolf throws an off balance right hand
and Gaetz counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Howlin Wolf has been cut.
A jab from Gaetz does it's job there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gaetz lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Wolf falls backwards - clearly groggy! Gaetz dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Link Gaetz!
A relieved looking Link Gaetz thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
