Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Santiago Yurmon (ranked 4837 p4p, 5233 weight class) and Nate Kristersen (ranked 0 p4p, 512 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.

Yurmon with a poor takedown
and Kristersen counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Kristersen drives through with a takedown into guard.
Yurmon is trying to control the position but Kristersen postures up.

Kristersen stands and steps away. Yurmon gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Kristersen takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Yurmon dives in for a single leg takedown but Kristersen sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Kristersen scores with a one two! Yurmon had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Yurmon takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Kristersen has taken the fight to the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Yurmon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Yurmon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Kristersen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Yurmon throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Kristersen decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Yurmon's guard.

Kristersen throws a leg kick but Yurmon sees it coming and moves out of range.

Yurmon is trying to escape back to his feet but Kristersen uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Yurmon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kristersen pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Yurmon back to the cage. Kristersen follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Kristersen throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Yurmon was covering up waiting for the punch and Kristersen finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Well Kristersen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
