Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yu Pu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiroshi Kobayashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kobayashi comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Seven Samurai kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiroshi Kobayashi!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pu wants to clinch.
Kobayashi throws a chopping leg kick but Pu manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Kobayashi throws a head kick that Pu semi-blocks.
Kobayashi staying out of range there.
Pu checks a leg kick.
Hiroshi Kobayashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice body kick from Kobayashi.
Kobayashi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Pu fails to land with a series of punches.
Kobayashi clinches but Pu breaks the clinch
enabling Pu to counter with a crisp jab.
A big left from Pu misses.
Pu tries to close the distance and clinch but Kobayashi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kobayashi fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Kobayashi misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Yu Pu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hiroshi Kobayashi.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The crowd cheers as Pu lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kobayashi doesn't seem phased though.
Pu jabs at Kobayashi's body.
Pu has closed the distance and engaged Kobayashi in a clinch.
Pu comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Pu unloads a knee to the mid-section. Kobayashi lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Kobayashi looks gassed!
Pu with a knee to the head.
Pu lands with a light punch inside.
Kobayashi is rocked!
Kobayashi takes an elbow to the temple.
Kobayashi is still on wobbly legs! Can Pu finish him?
Pu has Kobayashi pressed against the cage. He pushes Kobayashi back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Pu throws a beautiful elbow that sends Kobayashi crashing to the floor! Pu piles on the pressure with more strikes! Kobayashi is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yu Pu!
